Welcome to Tai Chi Coach. By downloading or using this app, you agree to these terms. They are written plainly — no legalese.

1. Who We Are

Tai Chi Coach is an independent iOS application developed by Michael Flum. It is not affiliated with any Tai Chi organization, school, or instructor unless explicitly stated.

2. What the App Does

Tai Chi Coach uses your device’s camera and on-device AI to analyze your movement and compare it to reference poses. All processing happens on your device. We do not record, transmit, or store your video or movement data on any server.

3. Your Responsibilities

You must be 13 years of age or older to use this app.
You are responsible for the safety of your practice environment.
This app is a practice aid, not a substitute for qualified instruction.
Do not use this app while operating a vehicle or in any situation requiring your full attention.

4. Health & Safety

Tai Chi involves physical movement. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have a pre-existing condition. The developer assumes no liability for injury arising from use of this app.

5. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and original content are owned by the developer. Reference pose recordings you import remain yours. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of this app.

6. No Warranties

The app is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Pose scoring is approximate and intended as a learning aid only.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this app.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms. The effective date above will reflect any changes.
